I find Daniel the perfect representative of "Hawaii Five-0" and of Asian-American actors because he comes across as a wonderful, very likeable personality and he's one of my top-favorites on H50. Oh, and I love his voice - I could listen to him all day long :-). I'm sure that even though the general reader of my fansite is probably more of an Alex fan, you will certainly enjoy these interviews with Daniel, too.

Hawaii-based Bruce Fisher has been writing and publishing a Hawaii Vacation Blog since 2006. One of the blogs he has published was posted by Cindy Schoepner. It is about Kyle Harimoto, one of the writers for "Hawaii Five-0". Harimoto is a true kama'aina which is reflected in his very authentic scripts for the show since he knows the islands so well - His family has been living there for 5 generations. July 14, 2012: Peter Lenkov and Joe Halpin are off to their exciting visit on an aircraft carrier
Peter Lenkov had tweeted a couple of weeks ago that he and Joe Halpin would have the great opportunity to visit an aircraft carrier and had posted this video from a friend's visit to the carrier. Well, this weekend Peter and Joe are finally enjoying the visit themselves. Here's the plane taking them to the aircraft carrier - Picture titled 'Our Ride'
I'm sure this will be a great experience for them.

July 22, 2012: Looks like all the guys on "Hawaii Five-0" get to make an exciting visit onto an aircraft carrier...
Daniel just posted a video of him being on an aircraft carrier. Since Peter Lenkov and Joe Halpin enjoyed the same experience last weekend, it looks like all the guys get a turn at visiting the aircraft carrier. Since I personally love aircraft and like watching them land and take off, I can imagine the excitement these guys get out of being on the aircraft carrier :-)

After reading that an F-16 combat jet of the U.S. Air Force just crashed into the ocean a few hundred miles off the Japanese coast, I was reminded that even though visitors like Daniel are having a great time on the aircraft carrier, those who work on the carrier actually have a very dangerous job. So the lucky guys from "Hawaii Five-0" who got to go to the aircraft carrier have good reason for thanking them for doing that job and for giving them the great opportunity to visit them.

July 23, 2012: "Hawaii Five-0" shooting car chase on Alakea Street (July 22)
Ed Morita whose bus was delayed one hour due to the shooting of a car chase for "Hawaii Five-0" made the best of the situation and enjoyed his excellent view of the action :-) He has provided video footage of the car chase filmed on Alakea Street.

July 24, 2012: Videos with Steve and Danno
Since there haven't been any news or anything worth writing about today, here are just two videos to give you something to look at. Both videos were posted by the Swedish YouTube user 'CarinaStargate'. The first video titled "Friendship" is about the special relationship between Steve and his partner Danno. The second video titled "Darkest hour" shows Steve and Danno in their darkest hours as indicated by the title - both videos are definitely no "fun" entertainment but still pretty good. And both videos show that Steve and Danno will make it through hard times together thanks to their friendship.

The following video "Hawaii-Five-0: The Movie (Fan Trailer)" with scenes from Season 1 of "Hawaii Five-0" is so well edited that Peter Lenkov himself has posted it on Twitter. I love the exciting music playing in the background - I thought it was from the season finale but I'm not so sure anymore - it might be from one of the other video clips on YouTube.
I wonder if Peter has ever seen any of my favorite videos from user 'moonlightaddicted' - I still think they are the best or at least among the very best fan videos. Well, here's the video link posted by Peter (Video by user 'tailoredshirt1')

Ho`omaika`i or congratulations to Hawaii on its record growth in tourism
According to a current article in the Star Advertiser, beautiful Hawaii has achieved a record increase in tourism this year. For some reason I think that our favorite show "Hawaii Five-0" has been contributing to this tourism boom on the islands :-) After all, Hawaii looks great on the show which has made me a fan of the islands, too - which you can tell by my Hawaii link page.
I just hope that the islands won't be overcrowded with tourists some day because it's hard to preserve the natural environment when there are too many people around. But so far the growth in tourism is still very welcome and boosts the economy.

A nice interview (text and video) with Taylor Wily (from April 2012!)
Bruce Fisher who maintains a Hawaii Travel blog has posted an interview with Taylor who plays Kamekona on "Hawaii Five-0". I really like this guy and how he just gives interviewers a big smile whenever he's asked to reveal something about Season 3. Taylor sure knows how to keep a secret. Although I personally don't mind spoilers of my favorite show, I admire the way he handles those interviews in a very charming way but without revealing even the tiniest little detail about the upcoming season.

Wendie's new blog is about actress Melissa Puana-Martin who played the governor's assistant on "Hawaii Five-0" twice. She also shared with Wendie some of her good experience on set with the wonderful cast who tried to make her comfortable.
