Scotty has written the new play "This
isn't 40" - Find out more and get tickets for Playhouse West in L.A. to watch
Scotty on stage!
Scotty not only plays the main character Jimmy but also wrote the script - like
he did with former plays he wrote and played in. It's part of Playhouse West's
concept that students of this acting school keep returning to it to teach,
write and play together with fellow students.

While I'm not 100% sure, I think these three episodes (9.07, 9.10 and 9.17) got
the most votes by fans. I think we all agree that the 200th episode stood out
the most because of its cool 1940's look. I loved the episode and find it
amazing that Peter and his writers always come up with awesome, new ideas for
special episodes like ep. 9.07. Even though I did not participate in the
fan-survey, it would have been my number 1 choice. However, I would have found
it hard to pick more "best" episodes from Season 9 because I thought a lot of
them were really great.

Welcome to H50 alumn Daniel Dae Kim
in Munich, Germany - my home!
Actually, I walked around at Marienplatz earlier today, too, but probably before
he was there. It's funny to see him in photos from Munich after watching him and
Five-0 in the Season 6 repeats of H50 on TV tonight. If he returned to his hotel
room in time and turned on the TV, he might have seen himself as Chin on Kabel
Eins :-)

The Five-0 Redux blog about the H50
fans' choices for best episodes from Season 9 is online!
Obviously, I was wrong about the No. 1 choice. I thought the 200th episode would
be at the top (as it's my No. 1 choice) but the fans chose ep. 9.10 as best
episode of Season 9. While I loved the final scene of ep. 9.10 with the
beautiful sunset and Alex's brilliant acting in it, the rest of the episode did
not stand out all that much from other episodes. But that's just my personal
opinion. Since Wendie asked for best episodes and not just best scenes, I made a
different choice than the majority of fans who participated in this week's

Some info for German fans who saw my
post about H50 alumn Daniel Dae Kim being in Munich, Germany:
He is actually here to work on the sci-fi thriller "Stowaway" with Anna Kendrick
and Toni Collette. There are 23 filming days in Munich at the Bavaria
Filmstudios and at the Rise Visual Effects Studios. The film is an international
co-production by Augenschein Filmproduktion, Rise Pictures and XYZ Films. The
film is based on a script by Ryan Morrison and Joe Penna; Penna also directs the
movie. The film is about a mission to Mars with a stowaway on board of the
spaceship - which causes a bit of trouble, as one might expect.
Since Daniel is here in Munich to work and not just for a quick weekend visit,
there is a slight chance that fans in Munich might see him when he explores the
city in his time off work. Today, he went to see the Caravaggio exhibition at
the Alte Pinakothek. It would be kinda cool if he visited the museum I work at,
too :-)
Anway, I'll keep my fingers crossed for his fans to meet him somehow but it's
probably not easy since he's working inside most of the time.
A simple but important message that
cannot be shared too often:

Season 1 of Magnum P.I., should get the DVDs which are released today!
Since H50 boss Peter's 2nd show from Hawaii will join H50 on Friday nights this
fall on CBS, I highly recommend to get the Season 1 DVDs now, so you are ready
for Season 2 in September when both shows air on the same night - and will
certainly have a crossover. Besides, both shows are great and a good "match" for
Aloha Fridays. I posted a collage on my Magnum P.I. page, as well as on Wendie's
Magnum Reloaded Facebook page to promote the DVD release - and Peter retweeted
our Magnum Reloaded post from Wendie's Twitter account.

later today - For Fathers' Day, the blog is about real fathers and "surrogate
fathers"!
The blog will focus on selected storylines from Season 9. It's about Danno as a
true, caring father worrying about Gracie after her accident. I've always
absolutely loved Daddy Danno - He's the best.
The blog is also about Joe White who not only called Steve "son" repeatedly but
was a bit like a "surrogate father" for Steve after his own dad sent him away to
the mainland to protect him because he falsely believed that his wife had been
killed. Well, we all know that mother Doris faked her own death, which is
something I will never understand, to be honest. But I find it even harder to
understand why Doris and her much too loyal friend Joe kept lying to Steve even
after he had grown up and would have deserved to find out the truth - and not
from Wo Fat and after repeatedly getting tortured and losing his real father
John because of all of Doris' lies.

Joe was introduced in ep. 2.01 when poor Steve was in prison for a murder that
Wo Fat had committed. Joe also led the rescue mission in ep. 2.10 to save Steve
who had been kidnapped by Wo Fat. Joe also helped when poor Danno was in prison
in Colombia in ep. 5.18. The final picture is from ep. 9.10 in which Joe White
died.

Fans for Organ Donation for World Blood Donor Day (which was on Friday):
Actually, the blood donation itself only
takes about 10 minutes but you'll spend another 15-30 minutes eating,
drinking and "recovering" from the donation before you head home - and, of
course, it takes some time to get to wherever you donate blood.
There is a huge and constant need for donated blood because it's not only used
to compensate the loss of blood caused by major
injuries from accidents. It's also essential for patients who suffer from blood
diseases like anaemia, sickle-cell disease etc.

Night for German fans today :-(
Sat.1 changed its schedule at short notice.
They were going to show H50 ep. 8.06 but, instead, there will be a second episode
of "Lethal Weapon". Since I watched filming for H50 ep. 8.06 back in 2017, I
decided to repost this collage. I thought you might enjoy a look back. Just
ignore me and enjoy the actors in the pics :-)

R.I.P. Beth Chapman - She had a
small guest-role in H50 ep. 3.18 with her husband Dog, the bounty hunter!
To be honest, I had never really cared about these two until I met them at last
year's SOTB premiere. They were just super-friendly and greeted me warmly with a
handshake as if they'd known me for years. I was actually a bit embarassed
because I couldn't think of anythng to say or to ask them. It's so sad to hear
that Beth died leaving behind several children and her loving husband. Here's an

Have a Sunny Sunday with Steve
McGarrett - but not as hot as here in Germany!
It's been really hot here lately. I'm trying not to spend too much time on the
computer to avoid overheating - both of the computer and myself. With no A/C and
no shades on the windows, it gets too hot in my apartment. So no new collages
today but an old one that fits in well with the weather. I would absolutely love
to be Steve in these pictures and to have an ocean or pool nearby :-)
P.S.: I'm looking forward to lower temperatures in a few days ("lower" means
below 30 degrees Celsius - whatever that means in Fahrenheit).
