Help Alex support and promote organ donation!
If you do not yet know why Alex and the "Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation" support and promote organ donation, please read this information first. Thank you!

Participate in the birthday campaign for Alex organized by our "Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation" group!
Join us in wishing Alex a happy birthday and supporting his favorite charity Taylor's Gift.
Since Alex's birthday is on Aug. 24, you should write your birthday wishes for him in the online card in time for him to see them on his birthday. However, we've extended the fundraiser by a few days, for a couple of reasons - You can make your donation until Sunday morning (Aug. 27).

Wendie needs your help for her next Five-0 Redux blog about fan-favorite moments with Daniel/Chin on H50
You can comment through Wendie's and the Five-0 Redux social media pages until Wed. (Aug. 2) and let her know which moments with Chin you liked the most on the show. And there were plenty! Make sure to indicate your full name in your comments and which city/country you are from if you want to be quoted in the blog. And keep your comments positive - This Friday is Daniel's birthday and we want it to be a very happy one.
For me, there were too many good Chin moments on the show to pick a favorite one. If I had to choose a favorite moment with Daniel, there would be two: The first one was when he shared one of my collages with pictures of him on Facebook several years ago and got over 6,700 likes for it from fans - It's just nice to see that one's work is appreciated by an actor and loved by his fans. My other favorite moment is getting one of his beautiful, friendly smiles when he got off the H50 van with his Five-0 colleagues last year, when I was on vacation in Hawaii. I stood there all alone on the sidewalk - probably looking like a total idiot - and his smile brightened up my day! I still regret not having said "Aloha" and that I was focused only on getting a photo with my top-favorite Alex since they (Alex, Scotty, Daniel, Grace) were on their way to work in the morning and had little time.

Happy H50 Late-Night to the TNT viewers - and fans of Ian Anthony Dale can also see him in "Salvation"on CBS
TNT will show repeats of the H50 episodes 3.11 to 3.14, starting at 1:01 a.m. on Thursday morning. Earlier on Wednesday evening, fans who look forward to Ian being a new Five-0 member in Season 8, can watch him in the summer series "Salvation" on CBS at 9 p.m. ET.

Oh, no! The one time I've booked a trip to Hawaii in September to see my first SOTB, it's not going to happen or, at least, not until later in the season :-(
If I had known this, I would have planned my trip for 1 to 2 months later in fall since it would actually fit in much better with the schedule at work, and since I'll get two extra payments later in fall and would have a higher travel budget - but changing the hotel and flight reservation will cost extra money, too - AND does not make sense until I know when exactly the SOTB will happen later in the season.

So far, we've raised 300 dollars in the fundraiser benefitting Taylor's Gift and more donations are very welcome to support the great work of this charity for which Alex is a spokesperson and advisory council member.

Happy H50 & MacGyver Night to the German fans with new episodes of both shows on Sat.1 from 8:15 p.m.!
H50 fans can not only watch the Halloween episode 7.06 but should also not miss the second MacGyver episode tonight because it's the crossover episode with H50 - you can enjoy Kono, Chin and Kamekona in it! It's a must-watch episode for H50 fans even if you don't usually watch H50 Boss Peter's second show MacGyver.

Awesome news! Steve will get a dog in Season 8 :-) It was Alex's idea and I think it was a terrific idea!
Dogs are a man's best friends (in my opinion, anyway), and Steve can use a loyal friend. Not only is Alex a great dog daddy himself and will certainly do a great job as an on-screen dog daddy but there are also many fans (incl. myself) who love dogs and will be happy to see a furry friend join the cast.

Sorry, there's NO happy H50 Friday tonight because there is no H50 on TV - but MacGyver fans can enjoy one episode on CBS
I'm fully aware that not all the fans of H50 love boss Peter's other show "MacGyver", too, but a lot of us do like or even love it, so I just want those fans to know that MacGyver ep. 1.10 "Pliers" will be repeated on CBS tonight at 8/7 ET/PT.
Those of you who only love H50 can always watch our favorite show on DVD. This is also a gentle reminder that you can preorder the Season 7 DVDs of H50 on Amazon - They will be released on Sept. 5.

H50 fans who miss the show today should keep in mind that the Five-0 Redux blog will be published, anyway!
This week's new blog will be about Grace as Kono. I always loved the "Kicka$$ Kono" scenes the most when she was fighting the bad guys in hand-to-hand combat or when she saved the day with her excellent shooting skills, such as in "Hookman" and many other episodes. My favorite scenes also included the ones with Willie Garson because they were a lot of fun to watch.

Info for German fans: H50 is taking a short break on Sat.1 and returns on August 28! MacGyver will air tonight!
There is no H50 this and next Monday because Sat.1 is currently showing "Promi Big Brother" every night at 10:15 p.m.
However, fans can watch the last two episodes of Season 1 of "MacGyver" - H50 Boss Peter's other show.

Alex might be a little disappointed if he sees how little money his fans have donated for the Taylor's Gift charity in the birthday campaign by our Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation group
While we don't expect to raise as much money as in last year's fundraiser for Alex's 40th birthday, we are hoping that more of the thousands of fans who follow our fansites will make a modest donation to the a.m. charity for which Alex is a spokesperson and advisory board member. Taylor's Gift is not only helping to save many lives through organ donation by encouraging people to register as donors but the charity also supports families of organ donors. Currently, the so-called Legacy Gift program is only possible in three U.S. states but the charity would like to help families in other states, too, so the charity does need much more money to expand this great program that honors organ donors by helping those who lost them.

You have until Aug. 23 (midnight) to participate in our birthday campaign for Alex by making a donation to his favorite charity and by signing the group birthday card for Alex (He will see both - the results of the fundraiser and his fans' birthday card!). If you can't give money, please register as an organ donor and mention it when you write your birthday greetings for Alex in our group card. Admin Gaby did a great job last year compiling a birthday video with contributions from fans worldwide, so you may want to participate in this year's video project.
While we run our own birthday campaign incl. the group card and the fundraiser, there is always room for other projects to congratulate the boys. Besides, I don't know how to edit videos myself (Only Silke of the German Alex fan club does) but I love to watch other fans' videos - well, not all of them, maybe :-)

Happy H50 Friday to the CBS viewers with a repeat of the Valentine's Day episode 7.18 "Pōniu i ke aloha"

This week's blog will again be based on a fan survey about favorite moments with a main character - in this case Scotty as Danno.
While my favorite moments with Danno include the ones with Gracie and Charlie (He's an awesome, caring dad), all the McDanno moments that we got to enjoy over the years are at the top of my endlessly long list of favorite moments. I not only love the many funny scenes but also the episodes in which Danno saved Steve's life - even by donating part of his liver in the Season 6 finale. He was my hero in this episode! My favorite moment with Scotty in real-life was when I met my favorite Five-0 boys in Hawaii and Scotty took two photos of Alex and me. That was priceless!

Happy Birthday to Michelle Borth whom many fans (incl. myself) loved as Steve's girlfriend Cath on H50
Although I think Cath has left Steve just a few times too often for these two to get a happy ending, I did love them as a couple and thought they had great chemistry. Michelle might not have been on H50 for a while, but birthday wishes on behalf of all her fans are more than appropriate. If you are not a fan, please just ignore this post!

Fans seem to love Danno particularly in emotional episodes, in which he shows how much he loves and cares for his children and his close friend Steve. Scotty is a brilliant actor, and those emotional episodes give him the best opportunity to show his huge acting talent. Scotty's birthday is coming up this week, too, and the best gift would be a donation to the "A Walk on Water" charity!

AUGUST 21, 2017:

Today's first collage shows that Steve cares just as much about Danno as Danno cares about his buddy Steve
Since the last collage related to the Five-0 Redux blog about Scotty as Danno focused on moments in which Danno cared for or saved Steve, I thought it was time to remember some moments in which Steve showed how much he cares about Danno. Among others, those moments/episodes include: 1.23 (when Danno gets poisoned and rushed to the hospital), 3.06 (when Steve stays with Danno despite the risk of both of them getting blown up by the bomb), 4.19 (with the boys in the collapsed building), 5.04 (McDanno going to Colombia with all that money for the bad guy) and 5.18 (Steve and the team rescuing Danno from a Colombian prison).

And on to some lighter and fun H50 moments with McDanno in the car - I'm sure all the fans loved these scenes!

Happy Day with this week's birthday boys: Alex & Scotty as McDanno in a great scene from H50 ep. 7.21 :-)
The scene at the doctor's was one of the many moments on the show that perfectly combine comedic elements (The ear inspection) and very serious elements (The talk about Steve's health and Danno mentionning the radiation poisoning, for the first time). It's hard to find a balance between these two opposite elements but H50 and these two actors always do a fantastic job at it.

Emily Allbright, the Executive Director of Taylor's Gift, sent the following message to our Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation Group today:
"Thank you from Alex - I wanted to share with you that Alex is so moved by the thoughtful outpouring of contributions to Taylor's Gift Foundation in celebration of his birthday. His fans continue to amaze him! As you know the season premiere is just around the corner and he is busy filming, so not on social media often but he wanted to send his appreciation to his fans. Thank you for your wonderful support of Taylor's Gift Foundation. We appreciate you and the great fans for the generosity."

Since Taylor's Gift is based in Texas, I asked whether the foundation was affected by the hurricane. Emily replied that they weren't but their friends and partners at the OPO LifeGift in the Houston area were hit very hard. So if you can, please support the people in Texas with a donation to the Red Cross which provides urgently needed help in the affected area.
