Help Alex support and promote organ
donation!
If you do not yet know why Alex and the "Alex
O'Loughlin Fans for
Organ Donation" support and promote organ donation, please read
this information
first. Thank you!
Make a fan dream come true & Support the life-saving
work of Taylor's Gift foundation for which Alex is a spokesperson. Taylor's Gift
raises organ donor awareness and helps people touched by organ donation.
Participate in the charity auction for Taylor's Gift - The
auction ends July 13!
This is your chance to meet Alex on the set of "Hawaii Five-0". Actually
I'm playing in the lottery for the next two weeks since a visit to the set of my
favorite show and a meeting with my favorite actor would be a fan dream come
true. I'd love to talk to him about organ donation and H50. Although I met him
last year, we had very little time since he was on his way to work in the
morning - and, of course, I couldn't just come with him.
Here's Alex's message to his fans asking them to participate in the auction:

UPDATE (July 14): The auction has ended !!! The highest bid was $13,500. Congrats to Taylor's Gift and to the generous fan who gets to visit the set and meet Alex!
Reminder for German H50 fans about
today's repeats & the premiere of Season 7 on Sat.1 on July 3
Tonight, fans in Germany can rewatch H50 ep. 2.14
to 2.16 on Kabel Eins, starting at 8:15 p.m.
Info and more collages can be found on my page about Season 2:

And just to make sure that none of the German fans miss
the great news which came at very short notice this week:
Season 7 of H50 will premiere this Monday, July 3 at 10:15 p.m. on Sat.1 after
MacGyver (H50 Boss Peter's 2nd show).
Friday
brought very sad news for H50 fans about Daniel and Grace leaving the show
before Season 8
The latest Five-0 Redux blog by my friend Wendie says Aloha to two very special
actors who are loved by fans since Season 1. They will be missed so much! The
blog takes a look back at memorable moments with Chin and Kono on the show.

Don't miss the upcoming Five-0
Redux blog about the fans' favorite episodes from all 7 seasons
This week, Wendie had asked fans to tell her which episodes they liked best and
why. Choosing my top-favorite was very easy - It's the 100th episode in which
Alex absolutely excelled. But choosing any other favorites was too difficult.
The fans made their choice and the majority voted for the 100th episode and the
pilot. There were also multiple votes for H50 ep. 2.10 in which the team rescues
Steve who was kidnapped by Wo Fat in North Korea. Several fans mentionned that
they loved all the episodes with Steve's aunt Deb. Here's where you'll find the
new blog - Part 1 (There was not enough room in one blog to fit in all the
favorite episodes, so part 2 will follow next week):
http://www.staradvertiser.com/2017/06/30/features/five-0-redux/comes-seven-seasons-five-0-fans-know-best/
P.S.: The statement about Steve and Wo Fat was not from me but from fan Helma (Netherlands). Amidst all the feedback, Wendie got this comment mixed up - but, yes, I did say that the 100th episode was an easy choice for me :-)
JULY 2, 2017:
A Sunny Sunday to the fans of H50!
Fans who chose their favorite H50
episode for the latest Five-0 Redux blog picked my No. 1, too: The 100th
episode!
Here's a collage showing Alex's outstanding performance in the episode - The
main reason given by fans for choosing this episode as their favorite one. As
mentionned before, this week's blog is only about the fans' top 3 choices: The
pilot episode, ep. 2.10 and ep. 5.07. It comes as no surprise (not to me,
anyway) that all three episodes were written by "the boss" himself, Peter
Lenkov, who is not only an excellent writer but knows "his baby" (the series
reboot) the best.
Here's the link to the blog again - in case you missed before:
http://www.staradvertiser.com/2017/06/30/features/five-0-redux/comes-seven-seasons-five-0-fans-know-best/
More collages for the top 3 episodes can be found on my pages about the individual seasons of H50.
German fans who like H50 boss
Peter's 2nd show "MacGyver", too, can enjoy 8 pages about it in the new "TV
Serienhighlights" magazine
The new July issue of the magazine includes photos, a short introduction to the
main characters and an episode guide for the first 12 episodes of MacGyver. Keep
in mind that the show not only has a crossover episode with H50 but also airs in
Germany on Monday nights - right before H50 which returns tomorrow to Sat.1 with
Season 7. Please note that the TV schedule in the back of the magazine does not
include the air dates for Season 7 of H50 on German television because Sat.1
announced too late that the show will return tomorrow night with new episodes.
All of the printed TV magazines (also the TV Spielfilm for July 8-21) were
already finished before the info came out this week. So if you know any H50 fans
in Germany, please tell them to ignore their printed TV magazines because H50
will definitely return tomorrow night at 10:10 p.m. with the new Season 7 and
will replace the unpopular "Rush Hour" series (which airs after midnight from
now on).
Will be back later...
PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE TO THE
FANS:
It's been a very sad day in the fandom in view of all the hateful remarks
against Alex and Scotty by so-called fans of the show. It made me sick to view
the mean, unfair social media comments by fans today.
And guess what?! All those hateful fans are mad at Alex and Scotty for no
reason!
I just found out from a very reliable source that Daniel's and Grace's
decisions to leave didn't have much to do with money.
Grace wants to spend more time with her little boy - and Daniel wants to focus
on producing shows.
So please stop the stupid hatred and just wish them both the very best at
whatever they choose to do. And don't blame others for their decision to leave!
JULY 7, 2017:
Happy Birthday to Ian Anthony
Dale whom you can soon enjoy in the summer series "Salvation" which premieres
July 12!
Ian may be missed as Kono's husband Adam on H50 in the upcoming Season 8 but his
fans can, at least, see him in the new show produced by H50 boss Peter. Ian may
be glad to have work on the mainland since his real-life wife is pregnant and he
probably wants to be close to her and (very soon) the baby.
Happy H50 & MacGyver Monday to
the GERMAN fans with the big premiere of Season 7 of H50 on Sat.1 at 10:10 p.m.!
If you live in Germany and still haven't heard the fantastic news that were
announced last Wednesday, please note that H50 definitely returns to Sat.1
tonight with the new Season 7 - which is a great one (I've already watched it in
English, of course). To complete the perfect TV night, you may want to tune in 2
hours earlier because H50 Boss Peter's 2nd show "MacGyver" airs at 8:15 p.m.

The highlight of the day is seeing my
friend Wendie in this video report & article about H50
I'm glad that Wendie got to speak to Hawaii News Now since 95% of what I've
heard about H50 from Guy Aoki over the years has been criticism and negativity.
Someone once mentionned that Aoki tried to get a job on H50 in the first season
and didn't get hired. I could imagine that he's trying to take revenge by
talking bad about H50 whenever he sees an opportunity to do so - as in the
current situation after the departure of two Asian-American actors from the
show.

Off to work...
Daniel has finally posted his own
statement about his departure from H50
Well, it seems like his exit from the show is mainly owed to failed contract
negotiations with CBS, after all - apart from his wish to work more as a
producer. His statement "the path to equality is rarely easy" makes me think
that he did want to get paid the same as Alex and Scotty, as was mentionned in
various recent articles that fueled the rage of his fans who have demanded that Alex and
Scotty should fight for Daniel and Grace to get equal pay. Well, to be honest, I
think that Alex deserves to get more money as the lead of the show although it
would be reasonable to pay an extra bonus to Grace and Daniel for certain Kono-
and Chin-centric episodes that we've seen a bit more of in Season 7. But,
overall, Alex has had a much bigger workload throughout all seven seasons than
anyone else on the cast. And my opinion about Alex deserving higher pay has
nothing at all to do with race or ethnic background of any of the actors, and I
would definitely say the very same thing if Daniel and Grace were white!
Besides, Grace and Daniel have a higher net worth (more money) than Alex,
anyway, and are not "poor" people that we need to feel pity with (Cif. article
below) - especially since 98% of us fans earn only a small fraction of the money
that any of the main cast members get for this show. Frankly, there are more
important things to worry about than whether an actor gets 100.000 or 110.000
dollars per episode. Ultimately, it was Daniel's and Grace's own decision to
leave because CBS wasn't willing to pay them as much as they wanted (At least
that's the main reason in Daniel's case, it seems). As sad as this is for us
fans who'll miss them on the show, we need to accept their decision but, most of
all, not blame others for it. I'm just sick of seeing all the hateful remarks against
Alex, Scotty and CBS.
It's also quite stupid to compare H50 to "Friends" (where all six cast members
negotiated together for equal pay), as some folks do on social media. As much as
I used to love "Friends", I think that with 1 million dollars per episode and
person, these actors were just ridiculously overpaid, and it was a very easy
thing for them to accept equal pay since it meant a hefty 1 million bucks per
person and episode. And none of them ever did stunts or physically demanding
scenes, like the main cast of H50 does regularly.
Anyway, can we please get back to focusing on REAL problems instead of littering
Twitter and Facebook with negative, unfair and unreasonable demands and posts?!
Here's Daniel's well-written message to the fans:
https://www.facebook.com/136577846385452/photos/a.141032709273299.23386.136577846385452/1500305656679324/
And here's the article about the net worth of the cast members of H50:
http://www.fame10.com/entertainment/cast-of-hawaii-five-0-how-much-are-they-worth/
Oh, and keep in mind that we still have Alex, Scotty and
Chi to enjoy on H50 - All three of them are terrific actors and will certainly
do their best to fill the big gap left by Daniel and Grace. Season 8 also
introduces a new female character on the team, who will, hopefully, be Hawaiian
or Asian-American to regain some diversity in the main cast.
That's it from me. All that remains to be said is that I wish Daniel and Grace
the very best and that they'll be happy and successful at whatever they choose
to do in the future.
JULY 6, 2017:
A message for H50 fans who demand
that Alex quits working for H50 because of Daniel's and Grace's exit
On social media, fans are demanding that Alex and Scotty stop working for H50 to
show solidarity with their co-star Daniel who left because CBS refused to pay
all main cast members equally.
Well, let me remind you of the fact that this show employs more than just the
main cast - not only are there recurring actors but, most of all, there is a
huge, hard-working crew including many locals. Do you seriously want them to be
out of jobs at short notice just because one of the main actors decided to leave
because he gets less money than the lead actor? Alex has repeatedly mentionned
how important this show is for the islands and that it helps to feed local
families who have members working for the show.
I'm sure Alex will have those crew members in mind when he goes back to work
this Friday and does his job - which he has done for the last seven seasons
despite many injuries and pain. Even when he mentionned last fall that he plans
to leave the show after his current contract (incl. Season 8) runs out, he did
so at very long notice to give everyone on the team enough time to make new
plans and find new jobs and for the writers to come up with a good possible
ending for the show. His reason for announcing the departure was not money
though but serious health problems, including a spinal injury.
Let me share a post by crew member Brian again who posted this after the show
got renewed for Season 8. Please read carefully what Brian wrote about Alex and
the sacrifices he's made for the fans and the crew - and, then, think first
before you post unjustified mean comments about Alex on social media and ask
that he refuses to work which would affect hundreds of people working on the
show:

Off to work...
Happy National Kissing Day to the H50 fans with McRoll :-)
Thank you to H50 boss Peter for this
message to the fans - He truly
can be proud of the show!
I will certainly continue to watch, love and promote
my favorite show - and despite all the negativity in the press and on social
media that has made me both sad and angry over the last few days, I very much
look forward to the return of the very best cast and crew this Friday for the
blessing and the start of shooting Season 8. Welcome back - We love you guys!

A warm WELCOME BACK to the
fantastic cast & crew of H50 who start filming this Friday!
I'll try to be back from work early, to let you
know when and where you might catch a glimpse of the Season 8 blessing of H50.
Online coverage usually starts between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. Hawaiian time (exactly
12 hours later in Germany).
Off to work...
It seems like there's zero media
coverage from the blessing of H50 Season 8 today
I was hoping for Billy V (Hawaii News Now) to be there but he's currently on the
mainland. You can watch the HNN livestream but, so far, they haven't even
mentionned the blessing. Here's the link - just in case... but I don't actually
have hope for anything at the moment :-(
http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/category/198303/livestream
JULY 8, 2017: Happy Weekend!
About the blessing ceremony:
HNN mentionned the blessing very shortly (I was told) - but wasn't
live on set. I missed even this short part because I was called by a friend
whose uncle had died - not the right moment to tell your best friend that you
have no time for her. In total, I spent over three hours of watching the HNN
news livestream and checking for any coverage on social media. The only thing I
found was a 5-second snippet of a soundless video. A quick summary of what
followed: I logged out at 9 p.m., had dinner, watched part of a movie with
Scotty on TV and then went to bed since there was a heavy thunderstorm (I always
unplug any electrical devices during storms) and caught up on some sleep... Kind
of a sad evening but, at least, good for getting some sleep...

Happy H50 Night to the German
fans with 3 repeats from Season 2 on Kabel Eins from 8:15 p.m.!
Fans in Germany can rewatch the episodes 2.17 to 2.19 tonight. They are not
exactly my favorite ones since Alex looked too skinny and unhealthy in them but
they are worth watching, anyway - not least because of Scotty's dad James Caan
guest-starring in ep. 2.18. I still prefer the last two episodes of Season 2
though that were filmed after Alex's return from rehab.

Also remember that H50 airs with new Season 7 episodes on Monday after MacGyver
on Sat.1.
Will be back in a little while... There will be a new Five-0 Redux blog but since Wendie was going to write about the blessing, which doesn't really make sense in view of the lack of coverage, I'll check if she decided to post part 2 of the blog about favorite H50 episodes...
Here's a short, but very positive
personal message I got from an H50 crew member about Alex & more:
https://www.facebook.com/angela.gerstner.7/posts/1078729098948585
The new Five-0 Redux blog looks
at the cast of H50 and to which extent it reflects the population in Hawaii:
I agree with Wendie that any new members cast for the Five-0 team should be
Hawaiian or Asian-American to reflect the population of the islands in a
realistic way on the show. If I could decide, I would love to see Duke join
Five-0, along with a Hawaiian female who could be someone that Duke knows and
trusts as a colleague from the HPD. But that's just wishful thinking - and I'm
sure that whatever casting decisions H50 will make or has made already, are good
ones, too.
As far as Alex is concerned, he has been the perfect lead from the start - not
only was he the reason why I started watching the show but he's also the main
reason why I continue to watch it, although I love several other actors on the
show, too, as well as the perfect mix of character, comedy, crime, action and
Hawaii. So while Daniel and Grace are a big loss and will be missed, I'm also
happy that Alex, Scotty and Chi are still on the team because they are awesome
actors that deserve the love and support from fans and fansite admins like me.
Now find out what Wendie writes about the diversity issue of H50:

doesn't care about the show but his daughter's birthday is more important to
him.

JULY 9, 2017: Have a Sunny Sunday!
A collage & some reasons why I
think Dennis Chun as Duke Lukela would be a perfect addition to the main cast
As mentionned before, I agree with Wendie's latest Five-0 Redux blog about the
show needing Hawaiian and/or Asian-Pacific actors in the main cast to
represent the population of Hawaii properly. While I don't know how H50 itself
will solve the obvious problem of losing part of the show's viewership and some
of the support and acceptance by the Hawaiian and Asian communities
because of the lack of diversity in the main cast after the exit of Daniel and
Grace, I think that the problem could be solved or, at least, mitigated by
making Dennis a member of the main cast and the Five-0 team. In addition, Five-0
will need a new female, of course - I already feel pity with whatever actress
was chosen to play the new "main female" Tani on the show. It will be a tough
job, for sure, because Grace left some big shoes to fill.
But let's get back to the reasons why I would add Dennis to the main team, if I
had a say in this kind of decisions:
First of all, the actor himself is accepted, respected and loved by Hawaiians
and fans around the world. He has been an amazing ambassador for both the show
and its island home over the years and continues to spread the spirit of aloha
and ohana around the world. With his ethnic background (partly Hawaiian, partly
Chinese), he would obviously add diversity to the team and be accepted by
Hawaiian and Asian viewers, whereas any new actors joining the show's main cast
would have to gain acceptance from viewers first, which might be difficult to
achieve by someone joining the show seven years after its start.
In addition to being a long-time, fan-loved cast member, Dennis is also a
"connecting link" to the original Hawaii Five-O that is still so important to
many fans, especially in Hawaii. Dennis not only had a small role in a couple of
episodes in the 70s version of the show but his father Kam Fong used to play
Chin Ho Kelly on the original show. It would be cool to see his son follow in
his footsteps as a member of the reboot's main cast.
Last but not least, Dennis' character Duke has been a loyal friend for Five-0
throughout the years and is someone they can always rely and count on. Let me
quote Dr. Noelani from H50 ep. 7.21 "Duke always puts ohana first" and, yes, he
did save the Five-0 ohana with his HPD colleagues in that episode. While Jerry
got a badge at the end, I think Duke would have deserved it even more - well, he
does have an HPD badge though.
In view of Steve's trust issues, it may be difficult for Steve to trust a
completely new team member (as was the case back in season 2 when Lori Weston
first joined the team). He needs someone he can fully trust - and Duke is
definitely that kind of person for Five-0. In addition, Duke is a respected
member of the HPD, and his connections to the HPD would be very useful whenever
Five-0 needs their help. As a member of the HPD, Duke also has the kind of
training and experience needed to be a credible member of Five-0. There've
always been fans who think Jerry doesn't deserve a badge because he has no
police training - that kind of criticim would not come up if Duke joined Five-0
as an experienced police officer who could also be a mentor and role model for a
younger new female on the team.
I have no idea what Dennis himself thinks about my ideas, and although he's a
friend of the Five-0 Redux (Wendie and me), I did not tell him about the collage
and that I was planning this post about him for the fansites. I'm sure he'll see
it though :-)
Here's the link to Wendie's blog again that inspired me to make the collage and
write my post about Dennis:

It's time for a reminder of the
charity auction in which the highest bidder gets to visit the set of H50 and
MEET ALEX
This sounds like the perfect prize to me but, of course, not all of us fans can
afford to participate - on the other hand, not all of us can be lucky enough to
meet Alex and tour the set of H50, so this great prize might as well go to the
fan who can donate the highest amount for Taylor's Gift and, thus, support them
in raising organ donor awareness and helping people that are touched by organ
donation. Here's the link to the charity auction which runs until July 13:

JULY 10, 2017:
A great start into the week to
the German fans with one Season 7 episode of H50 and two MacGyver episodes on
Sat.1
For the full "entertainment package", fans in Germany should tune in at 8:15
p.m. to watch MacGyver ep. 1.07 and 1.08 (The show is produced by H50 Boss
Peter, too), followed by the new H50 ep. 7.02 in which McDanno pay a visit to
Prague and London (only on screen - the scenes in Prague were shot at the Ala
Wai Canal in Honululu). It's a pretty cool episode with some fun moments, too.

Mahalo to Dennis Chun (Duke Lukela) who
sent me this message for the fans of H50
He responded to my post about him and his character
Duke Lukela and also answered a question about the SOTB8 for which no date is
set yet:
"Mahalo for your kind post. Very touched by your thoughts. My wish is that
whatever happens is in the best interest of the show. It will be a very
interesting season. I think the fans will find it an exciting journey.
Unfortunately, the date for Sunset has not been set yet. Usually it is around
the airdate of the airing of the first episode.
Again best wishes to all and thanks to all the fans for their thoughts on
Duke..."
He sent this beautiful Hawaiian sunset photo, too.

H50 fans who loved Ian Anthony
Dale as Kono's hubby Adam can enjoy the new show "Salvation" with him, starting
tonight
Ian plays a leading role in this CBS summer series which premieres today (Wed.)
at 9/8c. Wendie plans to do a review of this new show which is produced by H50
Boss Peter, too. Since Ian will be a daddy soon, I'm sure he has welcomed the
opportunity to work on the mainland close to his growing family - especially
since his role as Adam on H50 doesn't exactly make sense, anymore, after Grace's
exit from the show. So please give this new show a chance, too, to show some
support and love for Ian!

Most H50 fans in the U.S. will
not be amused by CBS's change of schedule for Friday night...
There was supposed to be a repeat of H50 ep. 7.16 at 9/8c after MacGyver ep.
7.02 - but, sadly, CBS decided to show a repeat of the Salvation premiere with
Ian Anthony Dale instead. There'll also be no late-night repeats of H50 on TNT.
Sorry, fellow H50 fans! I'm just glad that I looked at the new CBS
schedule again this morning after reading a comment on Twitter about Salvation
airing in H50's usual time-slot. I was almost going to announce the a.m. H50
episode for tonight. I hate short-term schedule changes, especially if H50 gets
kicked out of the schedule.
Well, at least tomorrow's Five-0 Redux blog will be about Salvation, so Wendie's
readers can catch up or rewatch Salvation tonight before they enjoy the new blog
on Saturday.
Fans of H50's Ian Anthony Dale
can meet him at the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) on July 22
Ian will be joined by fellow cast members from the new show "Salvation".

Happy H50 Night to the German
fans with 3 episodes from Season 2 on Kabel Eins from 8:15 p.m.!
Fans in Germany can watch the "Max Bergman episode" 2.20, the crossover episode
with NCIS: L.A. (2.21) and the great H50 ep. 2.22 in which Steve returns with Wo
Fat after capturing him in Japan. H50 ep. 2.22 has always been a favorite to me
because it also marked the return of Alex to the show after his rehab (He had
been dependent on pain medication due to a shoulder injury he got on set) and
after his return, he finally didn't look all skinny and ill, anymore. New fans
who watch the old repeats from Season 2 may have wondered why he looked so
different (= ill) back in season 2.

A message from the Alex
O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation because some fans are confused...
A few months ago, a French fan decided to set up her own Facebook page to
support the Taylor's Gift charity, for which Alex is a spokesperson.
Since this fan (Annie) has used collages from our fan group in the banner,
profile picture and other posts on her new Facebook page, some fans got confused
and asked if this fan and her page are part of our group. Well, she is NOT
although she donated in one or two of our former campaigns before she decided
that she wanted to do "her own thing".
We chose not to ask her to remove our collages because those collages were made
by Claire Eyles (who led our group until February when we renamed ourselves from
"AOL Fans for Donate Life" into "AOL Fans for Organ Donation") - If anyone has
the right to object to the use of her collages on someone else's page, it is Claire. It is also a fact
that Annie is definitely supporting Taylor's Gift and the charity's work. So she
means well - even though not everyone might understand why she decided to run a
separate page.
Since Annie is doing her own thing and only uses our collages (to which she's
added the name of her page), we don't promote each others' pages and we run our own
separate fundraisers - BUT we both do support the same cause and charity!!!
In her current campaign, Annie is raising money for bricks that will have the
names of the fans engraved who contribute money in her fundraiser. The bricks
will be put into a wall in "Taylor's Garden" in Texas.
Our own fan-group prefers to do the usual fundraiser that we always do for
Alex's birthday in August (For his 40th birthday last year, our group raised
over 3,300 dollars for Taylor's Gift). In our fundraisers, the full amount
raised goes into the work of Taylor's Gift to support people touched by organ
donation and to raise organ donor awareness.
Ultimately, it is totally up to you, the fans, to decide in whose fundraisers
you want to participate. If you want your name to be engraved in a brick in hope
of Alex seeing the wall by chance, that is your choice.
If you want your money to be used exclusively to raise organ donor awareness and to
help people touched by organ donation, you may prefer to wait for our fundraiser
in August.
In both cases, the money goes directly to Taylor's Gift - and we hope
and assume that at least part of the 100 dollars paid for each brick in the other
campaign also helps to finance the great work of this charity.
I just wanted to clarify these things since fans were wondering and asking about
the other page and campaign since they were confused by the use of Claire's
collages on the other page. I'm not sharing the link and name of that other page
to avoid further confusion. Those who've seen Annie's page and posts, know what
I'm referring to.
Update: Claire responded
and clarified the matter. Annie had absolutely no permission to use Claire's
collages. Claire has asked Annie to remove the collages from her pages and
posts. Scroll down to the comments incl. the one by Claire below my post on
Facebook:

Wishing a safe and happy trip to
my fan-friend Virginie (Head of the French H50 Fan Club) who finally travels to
Hawaii today!
She's been counting down the months, days and hours to her departure since last
year and is so excited. I hope she'll have a simply wonderful vacation (belated
honeymoon) and will get to see our favorite cast and crew at work on the streets
and beaches of O'ahu - and collect equally great memories like I did during my
first trip to the home of my favorite show (cif. collage). Her enthusiasm about
the trip is so "contagious" that I ended up booking a trip to Hawaii for
September late last night. Expedia had a super-special offer that I could not
resist although it means reducing my modest savings to zero :-) Now I'm
anxiously waiting for news about this year's SOTB premiere to come out...

Australia: Claire van der Boom (Danno's ex-wife Rachel on H50) talks about her
new show "Pulse" - Video includes short scenes from the show
As mentionned before Claire stars in the show as a transplant recipient and
transplant doctor. The show premieres this Thursday on ABC in Australia and
seems to be well worth watching! Take a look:
https://twitter.com/ABCTV/status/887146167313637379
As you can imagine, I was happy to find out about this show because organ transplantation is a very important topic - and presenting it for large audiences on screen both in an "entertaining" and (hopefully) informative way will help to inspire people to become organ donors, as they will realize through the storylines on the show that organ donation and transplantations save and improve lives. At least, that's what "Three Rivers" with Alex achieved, and I'm confident that Claire's new show will have a positive impact, too.
Please note: My mom arrives for a visit later today and will stay until Saturday, so there will be fewer updates or even no updates, at all, since I'll be busy doing stuff with her! It's just a short visit - and we won't be seeing each other in a while afterwards since my next vacation will be spent in Hawaii :-)

Some important posts from our
"Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation" page regarding a fan's exploitation of
our fan-group's long-time work to promote her own new page and fundraiser
Sadly, fan Annie not only used our former admin Claire's collages in her
Facebook banner, profile pic and posts (as stated in my post from July 16 -
scroll up, please), as well as on her fundraising page, but she also sent
messages to our long-time supporters, to personal friends of mine and to fansite
admins asking them to promote her page and her fundraiser. These friends and
supporters of us were misled to believe that she was cooperating with our
fan-group or even representing us because of her use of Claire's collages on her
pages and in her posts.
We've been working on clarifying the matter and are waiting for feedback from
the Taylor's Gift charity that had authorized her page and fundraiser but
certainly wasn't aware that Annie was using and taking advantage of our work of
eight years.
Please take the time to read both of these long posts to get the details - Thank
you!

MAJOR NEWS from H50 regarding the
main cast of the show!!!
A very warm welcome to Meaghan Rath as Tani Rey and Beulah Koale as Junior
Reigns who join the Five-0 team. In addition, Ian Anthony Dale (Adam Noshimuri)
is becoming a member of the Five-0 team, as well.
Fantastic
news about 3 of my H50 favorites: Dennis Chun, Kimee Balmilero and Taylor Wily -

JULY 23, 2017: Have a sunny - but not too hot - Sunday :-)
I hope you don't mind that I'm starting with a few collages without Alex today because of the major changes in the main cast of H50 which, after all, is also my favorite show. Therefore, I would like to welcome and congratulate the new and promoted cast members below. After all, these are the colleagues of Alex that he works with every day.
Aloha and congratulations to the new and promoted
H50 cast
members - An excellent choice by CBS and the producers!
If I had had to choose actors for a promotion, my choice would have been Dennis,
Kimee and Taylor, too. I didn't know Meaghan Rath and Beulah Koale
before CBS announced that they'd been chosen to play the new Five-0 team members
Tani Rey and Junior Reigns - but after taking a close look at their social media
pages etc. to get a "first impression" of them, I do believe that they are a
great and fitting addition to the main cast.

Congrats to Beulah Koale and welcome to
H50 - Here's a little collage to introduce him to the fans!
He will play Junior Reigns, a Navy SEAL returning
from a mission and asking Steve for a job with Five-0. Beulah is Samoan and from
New Zealand. He's a loving daddy of baby twins - this family man who values
'ohana seems to fit in perfectly with the other daddies in the main cast. His
Instagram account is mainly dedicated to his family but there are occasional
posts about his work, too, so here's the link for you if you want to follow him
on IG:

As a dog-lover with a beautiful
smile and great sense of humor, Meaghan Rath is the perfect fit for H50's main
cast - Welcome & Congrats to her, too!
The Canadian-born actress with her beautiful exotic look (probably owed to her
mother who is from Goa, India) has worked on a couple of shows already and has
even played a cop before in "Rogue". She was cast as the new Five-0 team member
Tani Rey. If you want to find out more about Meaghan's previous work, please
take a look at the imdb.com page about her.
You can follow her on Instagram or on Twitter - I also highly recommend to read
the interview posted at the top of her Instagram page (link):

JULY 24, 2017:
Happy H50 & MacGyver Monday to
the German fans with new episodes on Sat.1 from 8:15 p.m.!
Fans can tune in to watch the MacGyver episodes 1.11 "Scissors" and 1.12
"Screwdriver", followed by H50 ep. 7.04 at 10:10 p.m.. The title of H50 ep. 7.04
is too long to write :-) This H50 episode is one of my personal favorites from
Season 7 because it focuses on Steve and former FBI-profiler Alicia (played by
Claire Forlani) who are getting into big trouble with serial killers. It's a
very exciting must-watch episode!

Dennis Chun has sent a reply to
me (I congratulated him on his H50 promotion) that I would like to share with
you
He's obviously busy learning his script for this week, so it makes sense for me
to share the main part of his mail in which he thanks other fansites and fans,
too. Here's what Dennis wrote:
"As always mahalo for your kind words of aloha and support. And really
appreciate your collages.
We are excited about the creative opportunities that lie before us. I am
especially happy for Kimee and Taylor. They are talented and caring people who
along with Shawn, Teilor and Kekoa will help share the beautiful multi-cultured
rainbow that is Hawaii with the world. I hope that all the fans know how much we
appreciate them. I know the past few weeks have not been easy but our canoe
travels on. I want to give a special mahalo to fans sites such as Five-0 Redux,
Hawaii Five-0 Australia, H50hana, Hawaii Five-0 Italia, TeamH50, Hawaii Five-0
France that do such a beautiful job of sharing Hawaii's aloha. For those I have
missed I apologize but know all your efforts are appreciated.
Busy week so need to get back to studying my script. Again to all mahalo."
Will be back later...
Happy McDanno Monday!
No news at the moment and I'll soon hop on my couch to enjoy MacGyver and H50 on
TV, so here's a little something to let you know that I'm thinking of the fans
:-)
Happy fans with Alex on the set

PLEASE READ: An important message to the supporters of our "Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation" group
First of all, we'd like to thank you for your kind words
of encouragement after we voiced our justified frustration and anger recently
about fan Annie using our group's well-known artwork and about her sending
messages to our long-time supporters and even to personal friends (!) of us
asking them to promote her new page and to donate in her own fundraiser
benefitting Taylor's Gift.
Anyone who's maintained a fansite and tried to raise support for organ donation
from fans certainly knows how very difficult and time-consuming it can be and
how frustrating it is to see one's hard work of eight years exploited and taken
advantage of by another fan and her new page. But through your positive
feedback, we know that you not only fully understand our frustration and anger
but that you also want us to continue with our work and our fundraisers - and we
will.
As mentionned before, I had contacted the head of Taylor's
Gift (Emily Allbright) to ask for the charity's opinion on this matter and if
they still want us to support them, as we have done for several years with major
fundraisers for Alex's birthday and on other occasions. Fans who had received
messages from Annie told us that she made it sound as if she was the only one
authorized to run fundraisers for Taylor's Gift, so we needed to get this
clarified with the charity before setting up our annual birthday fundraiser.
We've just received a reply from Taylor's Gift. I'm not going to share the full,
long text but some essential parts of their e-mail. Here's what Emily wrote:
"I wanted to share with you again my sincere appreciation for all the wonderful
support that the fan group has given to Taylor's Gift Foundation. We are most
thankful and honored to have been chosen as the beneficiary of your support
because of our mission and our celebrity spokesperson and advisory board member,
Alex O'Loughlin."
Emily's mail ends with these words:
"We are honored to have the volunteer and financial generosity and support of
your fan group and hope that you will continue to support our important mission
by continuing the birthday campaign for Alex."
Emily also wrote that while they understand our frustration, the charity will
not get involved in any disagreements between fans since Taylor's Gift needs to
focus on their work and mission. As a charity, they also cannot afford the
luxury of deterring individuals or groups raising funds for their organisation
because they need those funds to do their important work.
We fully understand their point of view and priorities!
You as fans and our supporters who appreciate our long-time work, however, do have the freedom and luxury to choose which campaigns and fundraisers you want to support and participate in - based on which group of fans you like and trust the most. Ultimately, all the money raised goes to Alex's favorite charity Taylor's Gift.
As Taylor's Gift has made clear that they are grateful for our support and hope that we'll continue with our fundraisers, we will start our birthday campaign soon - and the included fundraiser will again benefit Taylor's Gift.
After all, Taylor's Gift has been our preferred choice as
a beneficiary for a number of good reasons:
1) We absolutely believe in their mission and great work. They are very credible
since the charity was founded by the parents of Taylor - a philanthropic
teenager who died in an accident when she was 13 and saved five lives as an
organ donor. With its "Outlive yourself" motto and spirit, this wonderful
charity encourages people to focus on the positive aspects and benefits of organ
donation. Thus, it inspires people to register as organ donors and to save
lives. But the charity also helps individuals and families touched by organ
donation.
2) As a spokesperson for Taylor's Gift, Alex himself very much appreciates his
fans' support of his favorite charity and has expressed his happiness about our
support in previous fundraisers - such as the one that our group ran for his
40th birthday last year (We raised over 3,300 dollars!). Our support for
Taylor's Gift is certainly the best and most welcome birthday gift for him.
3) Last but not least, we even had to rename our fan-group not long ago because
of our fundraisers for Taylor's Gift in the last few years. Eight years ago,
when our fan-group was initially founded, we got permission to use the name of
another charity in our group's name because Alex was an ambassador for the other
charity back then. But since we had not supported the other charity for several
years (and had chosen to support Taylor's Gift, instead), the other charity asked us
to rename our group - which we did in February 2017. We don't want the efforts
put into renaming our group to have been in vain.
We hope for your continued support of our campaigns and fundraisers. Let's put one of his beautiful, happy smiles on Alex's face for his birthday :-) We'll be back in a few days after making all the necessary preparations for the birthday campaign.
P.S.: If I have the chance during my vacation in Hawaii in September, I will let Alex
know how much all the supporters and members of our fan group love him, and
that he has the best fans - YOU. This is particularly true for those of you who
took the time to read this long message :-) Sorry for the lengthy post - and
Thank You for reading it to the end!

Happy Birthday to my friend Silke
who's been a fan of our favorite Aussie Alex since "Moonlight"!
Silke co-founded both the "Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation" group
(then under a different name) and
the German Alex O'Loughlin Fan Club eight years ago with Sabine Atkins.
Throughout all these years, she's been a huge fan of Alex - and has supported
his work as an actor and his efforts of raising organ donor awareness! She is
not only head of the German Fan Club and admin for its website and Facebook page
but also runs the German page of our "AOL Fans for Organ Donation" group (with
the German name "Alex O'Loughlin Fans fuer Organspende"). When I speak and post
for our "AOL Fans for Organ Donation" group and organize fundraisers (like the
upcoming one for Alex's birthday), I do so also on behalf of Silke since
she finds it too difficult to express herself well in English.
I would like to wish Silke a wonderful and super-happy birthday - also on behalf of
all our supporters of the Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation group
worldwide.
Congrats to Mark Dacascos (H50's
Wo Fat) who returns as the Chairman on "Iron Chef Showdown" - a spinoff of "Iron
Chef America"!

Happy H50 & MacGyver Friday to
the CBS viewers with repeats of both shows produced by H50 Boss Peter!
First, fans can enjoy MacGyver ep. 1.06 "Wrench" at 8/7 ET/PT. It is followed by
H50 ep 7.19 "Puka'ana" (Exodus) - the episode that introduced us to the
sex-trafficking case that was in the center of the season 7 finale and led to
Kono's departure to the mainland. If you missed H50 ep. 7.19 when it first
aired, you should definitely catch up tonight!
Also take a look at the page hoolanapua.org - a charity that helps young victims
of sex trafficking and cooperated with H50 on this episode. The charity provided
support and advice to achieve a realistic presentation of the topic - in turn,
the H50 cast made PSA videos to support and promote the charity and its work.

Our
"Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Organ Donation" group is very happy to make the
following announcement:
We officially welcome our wonderful friend Wendie Burbridge, a writer for the
Honolulu Star Advertiser, on board of our main team. Wendie is well-known to
fans of "Hawaii Five-0" as she's been writing the popular Five-0 Redux blogs
about the show for the Star Advertiser since season 1.
From now on,
her Five-0 Redux logo will be featured on our campaign info pages, as she's now
an official member of our group. However, she has supported us for quite a while
already - by letting me share our posts about organ donation and fundraisers on
her Five-0 Redux Facebook page (for which I'm co-admin) and by mentioning our
Alex O'Loughlin Fans for
Organ Donation page in her blogs occasionally.
Wendie and her family have been
organ donors for a long time and she welcomes the opportunity to support this
great cause as part of our group. We all believe in the huge benefits of organ donations
which help to save and improve lives. Therefore, we strive to raise organ donor
awareness - like the lead actor of our favorite show, Alex
O'Loughlin, whom Wendie had the pleasure to interview for her blog before. The photo of Alex
in the collage is hers.
